Chopper Twirls Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Beach
An aircraft soaring above a popular southern California shoreline abruptly commenced twirling wildly, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a cluster of palm trees as spectators looked on.
Videos posted on the internet show the helicopter starting to spin above the beach then plunging near the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged between palm trees and a steps near the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the incident on the weekend.
Three persons on the road were injured. Information on their wounds were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.

The department said the aircraft was associated with an regular “Cars N Copters” fundraising event planned for the next day.
